Trained at London’s Guildhall, the Fibonacci Quartet have rapidly emerged as one of Europe’s leading young quartets with recent appearances at such prestigious venues as the Vienna Musikverein, Berlin Philharmonie and Philharmonie de Paris. Multi-competition winners, they are noted for their own arrangements of non-classical music from jazz to heavy metal and beyond.

This programme climaxes with Debussy’s ravishing masterpiece, his only quartet. And a rarity: Alban Berg’s intensely passionate, often challenging Lyric Suite was inspired by a clandestine, doomed love affair, following its trajectory from ecstatic joy to lovelorn despair.
