Glasgow University's Department of Adult and Continuing Education collaborates with Milngavie Music Club, Kilmardinny Music Circle and the Alliance Francaise, to present a fascinating and entertaining day of talks and music in tune with the French theme running through Milngavie Music Club's 2010-11 Season.
Focusing on the abundant creativity of fin-de-siècle Paris, the RSAMD's Prof. Christopher Underwood explores songs by Fauré, Debussy, Duparc, Chausson and Ravel, performed by RSAMD students.
And Vivien Hamilton of Glasgow Museums considers how Impressionist and Symbolist artists were inspired by music.
